NEW PUPPY (Kinda)

About five weeks ago I got a new puppy. It took us about a week to find a name for him but we started calling him Pup then changed to Kirby!

Matariki is a time to celebrate the Māori New Year

and the seven sisters,

But, is also to celebrate our whenua.

The hills.

The rivers.

The sea.

Hangi gives everyone all the energy they need to get up early to see the seven sisters.

The seven twinkling stars.

I remember...

I remember my favorite toy ever, patting that dog made me so happy, getting all muddy. He still has mud in him from five years ago, silly Little Doggy. Yes that was his name before you start laughing I’m just gonna say I was only three when I named him so give me some credit.

He has white scruffy fur with two big floppy ears, and a fluffy white tail. His eyes are black with a hint of brown, for some reason he has little red dots on his neck from where his old collar had been.

So this dog might seem like a normal little dog but to me, he's a special dog and I still have him!

Bee House!

This is my bee house for inquiry which I used tinkercad to make. As you can see you can hang it up on the wall and there are 7 holes on the hive so the bees can lay there eggs in them.

I’m Sick

I jump out of bed and go to say hi to Kirby (My puppy) “Hi Kirby!” I say, then I realised... I  didn’t say anything! It feels like I swallowed concrete and left it to dry all night. I need to tell mum I think to myself. I managed to squeak out a “Mum, I feel terrible can I have the day off?” She says “OK get back in bed then.” So I run back to my room and lie there.

Two minutes later I get bored so I walk into the living room and play on The Nintendo Switch (Which me and Nathan used all of our christmas and birthday money for) when Nathan comes out and says “HEY, THAT'S NOT FAIR!” “He’s sick.” Replies Mum. “Whatever! He’s faking it because I was sick yesterday!” “He’s still staying.” Nathan mutters angrily as he walks away.

20 minutes later once Nathan and Mum have gone, Dad still isn't up so, I watch TV and do that for the rest of the day.
